Characteristics of Gifted Children and Adults

I think I (my child/spouse/friend) may be gifted

We often have families or individuals ask us what it means to be called ‘gifted’.  Sometimes, families come in for psychological testing to understand a ‘quirky’ or ‘problem’ behavior, to find out that the behavior is related to very high intelligence or aptitude. A person can be gifted in one area, or many. They may be struggling with the social aspects of giftedness, and need a counselor to help guide them. Perhaps, a student would benefit from an additional plan in place at school, or a parent may benefit from a better understanding of their child.
