Psychological Testing
Psychological Testing is a reliable and valid way to detect conditions, characteristics, and behaviors in an individual. It allows individuals to gain a thorough understanding of their areas of strength and weakness by assessing the following domains of functioning: intellectual, psychoeducational, personality, and neuropsychological. Completion of a comprehensive evaluation provides a whole understanding of one’s functioning, which better informs one’s treatment recommendations for growth. A comprehensive evaluation includes a thorough initial interview followed by multiple testing sessions, which can take place over several days. Results, impressions, and individualized recommendations are then offered during a final feedback session. During the final session, an extensive written report detailing background information, evaluation findings, and recommendations are provided as well. Consultation regarding the results of the psychological testing is available upon request.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
DBT is a way of treating clients that combines both individual therapy and group therapy together. In DBT individual sessions, the client and the therapist work together to set goals that are meaningful to the client. DBT individual therapy helps clients build motivation towards change. Often this means they work on ways to decrease harmful behaviors and replace them with effective, life-enhancing behaviors. Dr. Pae offers a DBT group sessions for adolescents.
